We recently got a copy of parts 2 and 3 of the Jesus Trilogy. While reading it, I began to notice similarities between Sri's take on the life of Jesus and her own life in Morningland. I thought that was worthy of an article and wrote it up.

Soon after however, the author of the software that I was using to display it reported that he had been told by Morningland attorneys that he was in violation of copyright infringement for allowing ex-morninglanders.com to quote these Jesus books in the forum software that he helped write.

In order to make peace with the forums script author, I turned off that article but have instead placed it here, outside of any third party software. How long it will remain visible is anybody's guess.

This sort of use of a copyrighted property such as the Jesus trilogy is perfectly legal and simply part of a free society that recognizes that sunlight is the best disinfectant.

Without further ado, may I present to you, The Jesus Trilogy Re-examined.

As we've tried to make it clear, we are not officially affiliated with the Morningland church in Long Beach, California. Obviously we are not their mouthpiece. Ex-morninglanders.com is simply a resource for former members to come together and share their experiences, to process it, and to use that understanding in their present lives.

We are regularly contacted by individuals who would like to return to Morningland for a nice Sunday night service, without the issues that might prevent one from attending a Morningland function.

Pastor Duane Moret was a supporter of Morningland in the early 70's when it was beginning. He met the Speratos while attending the Universal Mind Science church (aka "Damien's church"). Pastor Duane blends metaphysical and Christian perspectives into a unique experience of Oneness with the "I Am" presence. His Sunday night vespers at the Universal Mind Science church is going strong.

The Universal Mind Science church is where Sri and Donato got started in the Long Beach area. What is amazing is how similar that church looks and feels to the early days of Morningland. The people there too seem to be about the same age, educational level, and generalized characteristics common among members of Morningland. This is why we're promoting this Sunday night service here on the front page. If you're missing the Morningland experience of the early days, consider Duane Moret's Sunday night vespers.

Location: UMS Long Beach.
Time: 5 PM Sunday evenings.
Description: This more contemplative and spiritual experience includes inspirational readings interspersed in period of silent reflection. There will be a channeled healing provided by attendees gifted in that area. The service last about one hour and there is usually some sort of fellowship in the social hall afterwards.
