I think it says a story will be published in 1979, not that the movie was then. Of course, I still don’t recall a controversial earthquake movie after that.

When I started honoring my feelings, all the teachings about “trusting yourself” suddenly made sense.

Honoring my feelings has become my third eye. I don’t see stuff that isn’t there, but I can certainly feel it. If I’m comfortable with something, I do it. If I’m not, I don’t. Simple as that.

There are oodles of exceptions, things that I’m uncomfortable doing that I have to do, but I’m talking about when you’re confronted with a choice such as whether or not to trust someone or an organization such as Morningland. In these cases, feelings are all that matter in my opinion.

I’m not entirely sure I understand this one.

If I stretch my head a bit, I can understand this, but I have no idea whether or not this was Donato’s intent.

Evil exists only in relation to good. Oneness is recognizing that evil and good are two sides to one coin. Oneness brings our awareness to the coin, not good, not evil.

Well, that’s where I’d go with this, but like I say, I’m not sure that Donato was really on that page.

I believe that Patricia and Daniel Sperato were both sociopathic con artists. I think the facts of their lives bear this out (bigamist, sexual exploitation of followers,lying, the list goes on and on). Frankly, anyone can grab a handful of very wise sayings and start throwing them around as some sort of wisdom. You could do this, I could do this. I believe if you research them you will find most of these “teachings” are not original.

This particular “teaching” is in my view a particularly cynical bait and switch or misdirection con. It also does what all cults do and puts the onus on the devotee for success or failure. If you succeed it’s because you listened to the teacher and if you don’t it’s because you did not listen. The teacher is infallible. There is no question in my mind that Daniel Sperato knew he was an untrustworthy person so this is basically a predator toying with his prey.

Great quote from Robert Lifton’s seminal work “they use good words to do bad things”. What did the Speratos ever contribute to the world, bad things.
