• Prediction: Here’s a funny one. This has to do with alligators. It’s a tremendous thing with alligators and it’s not the movie “Gator”. Are alligators becoming extinct? Maybe it’s preservation. there will be a big ado about them. Yes — Alligators!

  The only item that I can find in regards to alligators in 1977 is the following:

  In 1977, the alligator was reclassified from an endangered to a threatened species. This change in status allowed the alligator to once again be available for commercial use.

  This does have to do with the issue of preservation, but rather than supporting more preservation, it allows alligators to be bought and sold, as “threatened” is not as severe as “endangered”.

  I’ll give it to Sri that she was on the right page with this one, but not much more.
